Trade plate delivery is simple: one of our drivers collects your roadworthy car or van and drives it on OVM trade plates straight to the delivery address. One driver, our plates and your roadworthy vehicle

Our driver collects the car or van from wherever it is parked, drives it on OVM trade plates and hands it over at the delivery address. The same person looks after it from start to finish, so there is no depot stop and no waiting for a lorry to fill its deck.

We take the job when the vehicle is legal to drive, which means a valid MOT and a car or van that is ready for the road. That makes it the quickest way for dealers, auction buyers and fleets to get a single vehicle from one postcode to another.

Driven delivery is all we do, so we know it well. If your vehicle cannot legally be driven, we will tell you straight away that a transporter is the better option.

    Our driver carries OVM plates, insurance and identification, so you do not need to supply anything.

Who books trade plate delivery and when it does not fit

Dealers book us for site transfers and retail handovers. Auction buyers book collection as soon as the release is confirmed, and fleets use us for lease returns and defleets of vehicles that still drive. Everyone uses the same quote form: registration, both postcodes and the date you need.

Salvage, non runners and loaded low loader work all need a truck rather than a driver on plates. If your job falls into one of those, we will say so up front instead of taking a booking we cannot complete.

  • Auctions and fleets

    Compound collection once the lot is released, and fleet moves with a condition record that stands up later.

Proof of collection and delivery on every job

At collection our driver photographs the vehicle, records the mileage and notes its condition. At delivery the same checks are made again and the person receiving the vehicle signs for it on the device. You then get proof of collection and proof of delivery together in one report.

That report is how you and our office close the job. It comes as standard on every movement, never as an extra.

Who supplies the plates on a trade plate delivery?

We do, so you never need to lend plates to the driver. The vehicle still needs a valid MOT and must be fit to drive, because GOV.UK trade licence rules only allow plates on roadworthy, insured vehicles with a valid MOT or an exemption, and we only take those with a valid MOT.

Can a private buyer book a trade plate delivery?

Yes, as long as the car is coming from the trade. If you have bought a roadworthy car or van with a valid MOT from a dealer, an auction or a trade seller, we can collect it and drive it to your door. Send the registration and both postcodes on the Instant Quote, or call 0141 459 1302.
