Four ways a collection dies before the engine is used as transport
The drive is the easy bit. What kills the job is the end that was supposed to be ready.
No release. The compound still has the lot. A driver at the barrier cannot collect it. Storage keeps running. That sequence lives on the auction collection checklist. Tick it before you ask us to travel.
No keys. Nobody at the lock-up. Alarm code missing. The car is there and nobody can put us in it. That is not a drive. It is a wasted shift.
No valid MOT. Trade plates do not mint a test. We will not take it on the public road. This is not the MOT-only post. MOT is one of four fails, not the whole article.
The window is shut. Compound cut-off. Dealer already locked the yard. A Sunday gate that is not a Sunday gate. Same-day versus planned is a different page. This is arriving after they stopped releasing.
The job we actually run, when those four are true, is Trade Plate Vehicle Movements. One roadworthy car or van. Driven. Digital proof of collection and delivery provided. Not a transporter.
