Release code and named collector are two different checks
A release code tells the gate the lot can leave, while the named collector tells it who may take it. The gate checks both, so a driver whose name is missing from the list will be turned away even when the release is in place.

Who BCA, Manheim and Wilsons gates will release to
Most BCA, Manheim and Wilsons gates will not hand a lot to someone they do not expect. They look for a collector name matching the auction account that day, along with identification, trade plates and sometimes a buyer reference printed against that person.
If your own salesperson is still on the collector line when OVM arrives, the gate may refuse the car even though you have paid. Tell the site that OVM is collecting, and if it needs the collector added to the release, do that before anyone sets off. Our driver arrives with OVM identification and plates.
An invoice screenshot or an early morning message to the yard manager does not count as naming us. Our office checks the collector field with the compound and dispatches once our name is on it.
What happens when no collector is named
Without a named collector, the driver waits in the lane, the lot stays put and storage keeps running.
That is why we hold the booking until our name is on the account. That is cheaper than a wasted gate visit and another night on the yard.
How to name OVM as your collector
Fill in the instant quote with the registration, compound, both postcodes and date, and note in the first line that OVM is the named collector. Send the release details when you have them, and call 0141 459 1302 if the gate has already asked for a name.
You do not need an account to ask. The instant quote shows your price on screen, with fuel or charging included.
The lot must still be legal to drive. Naming a collector does not give a car an MOT, so anything that cannot legally go on the road needs a transporter and we will tell you so.
