How EV transport works
Charging planned into the route
An electric vehicle needs enough charge for the leg ahead and a plan for topping up if it runs short. We agree a minimum state of charge before collection and build any charging stop into the schedule, so the car arrives with usable range instead of a warning light.
Handled the way the manufacturer intends
We put each vehicle into transport or neutral mode correctly and never tow or jump start a high voltage car to get it moving. If the 12V battery is flat when we arrive, you hear about it before the wheels turn. The car still needs a valid MOT and must be legal to drive, otherwise a transporter is the right choice.
Cables travel with the car
Granny leads, Type 2 cables and charge cards are logged on the collection record, photographed with the vehicle and checked off again at delivery. They are the items most easily lost along the way, so we keep careful track of them.

0141 459 1302What is EV transport?
It is a roadworthy electric car or van driven on trade plates from one address to another, with charging planned into the route. One of our drivers collects it, drives it and hands it over, with digital proof of collection and delivery on every job.
What state of charge does the EV need before collection?
Enough for the leg ahead with a sensible margin. We agree the figure with you before the driver sets off and plan a charging stop where the route needs one, so the car arrives with usable range.
Does the vehicle need a valid MOT?
Yes, where one is required. The vehicle must also be legal to drive, otherwise a transporter is the better option.
Do cables travel with the vehicle?
Yes. Granny leads, Type 2 cables and charge cards are logged on the collection record, photographed with the vehicle and checked off again at delivery.
How do I get a quote?
Use the instant quote online or call 0141 459 1302. The registration, both postcodes and your dates are enough for us to price it.
What do you need to quote a job?
Just the registration, the collection and delivery postcodes and roughly when it needs to move. Named contacts at both ends help us avoid a wasted trip, and the price shows on screen straight away.
What does the price depend on?
It depends on the vehicle, the distance, how soon you need it moved and what has to happen at each end. A dealer to dealer transfer prices differently from a retail handover with paperwork to complete, so we quote every job individually rather than from a rate card.
Is the vehicle insured while you have it?
Yes. Every vehicle we move is covered by motor trade road risk insurance from the moment we collect it until it is signed for.
What proof do I get that the job was done properly?
You get photographs of every panel, the mileage reading, condition notes and a signature. Proof of collection and proof of delivery arrive together as one report by email when the vehicle is handed over.
Can you move a vehicle that is not roadworthy?
No. Every job is driven, so the vehicle has to be roadworthy, taxed and legal for the road. If it is not, a transporter is the better option and we will tell you so before anyone is sent.
