There is no motorway into Plymouth, so movements run on the A38, A374, A379, A386 and A3064. This is the sort of job where sending a driver makes far more sense than waiting for a transporter to fill up, because a single vehicle is not worth a lorry's time.
Because a one-way delivery leaves the driver to get home again, rail access shapes how quickly we can turn a job round. Plymouth is well served, with Devonport, Dockyard, Keyham and Marsh Mills all within reach, so we can move a driver in and out without tying up a second vehicle.
Manheim Plymouth is the nearest auction compound to Plymouth. We collect from it regularly. Release codes get checked before the driver sets off rather than at the gate.

0141 459 1302Which Plymouth postcodes do you cover?
Every district in and around Plymouth, including PL1, PL9, PL12 and PL21. If yours is not on that list it is almost certainly still covered, because we work right across the South West.
Do you cover the areas around Plymouth?
Yes. A driver working Plymouth also covers Saltash, Sherford, Ivybridge, Tavistock and Looe. Collection and delivery can be at either end of the same job.
How quickly can you get a driver to Plymouth?
It depends on where the driver is finishing their previous job. Plymouth is served by Devonport, Dockyard and Keyham, which is how our drivers travel in for a collection or get home after a one-way delivery. Decent rail access usually means a quicker turnaround.
