A van is not a large car
We drive light commercials on trade plates the same way we drive cars: door to door, roadworthy only. Panel vans, tippers and crew cabs are normal work.
Height, weight and fuel are not a footnote. A high-roof van cannot take every route a car can. Gross weight and a tight yard can kill a job that looked fine on a map. Fuel use is different. That is why a van is quoted as a van.
Height and weight
Checked against the route and the delivery point before dispatch. Low bridges and barriers are real.
Fuel
A van on the same miles is not the same cost as a car. The quote reflects that.
