The A18 is the old road between Doncaster and Grimsby, the A1077 heads north towards Winterton and the Humber and the A159 runs to Gainsborough. Steelworks traffic or a closed stretch of the M180 can push everything onto the A18, so we agree a firm date rather than promising a same day slot.

High Street and the roads around the church are tight. Sites on the Foxhills Industrial Estate, at Skippingdale or off Midland Road usually have barriers and a named manager, while homes in Ashby or Yaddlethorpe need a legal place to stop.

Scunthorpe stretches from Frodingham and Crosby down to Ashby and Bottesford in the south, with the steelworks to the east.
