Trade Plate Vehicle Movements in York
York sits on the Ouse. YO1 inside the walls. A ring of YO postcodes that are not one last mile. There is no motorway into the city. That live line was true. The A64 is the Leeds and Scarborough road. The A19 is the north-south spine. From the Glasgow office the run is M74 then A1. OVM quotes one driven movement. There is no York office. A walled city on the A64 is still a nationwide postcode, not a second Leeds page.

No Goole and no G3
Live unique copy named The Motor Auction Group Goole, G3 Vehicle Auctions Castleford and BCA Leeds. Goole and Castleford independents are out of this body. Keep BCA Leeds. Collect from BCA Leeds after release if that is the gate. Add Manheim Leeds, BCA Normanton and BCA Brighouse. There is no BCA, Manheim or Wilsons yard in York on the live sitemap. We will not invent a York auction.
Live copy said this page also covers Harrogate. It does not. Ripon, Selby and Goole already have their own pages. Leeds is a keep-city.
Release is confirmed with Leeds, or Normanton, or whichever site you name, before a driver is sent down the A64. The A64 does not open a Leeds gate. auction collection after release. Salvage off plates.
Selby sits on trade plate vehicle movements in Selby. Ripon sits on trade plate vehicle movements in Ripon.
The walls are not Clifton Moor
Independents still move stock toward Leeds, the M1 compounds and the rest of the country without waiting for a truck to fill a deck on a single Bar. Fleet vans come off Clifton Moor, Monks Cross and the YO30 units. They still need a valid MOT. A retail handover on a terrace off Bootham is a person at a door, not a trailer on Stonegate.
York is not Harrogate and it is not Selby. A booking that says York and is actually in Acomb, or actually in Fulford, needs the place. YO24 and YO1 are not interchangeable.
Stonegate, Micklegate and the streets inside the walls are tight. A compound toward Clifton Moor or Monks Cross is a barrier and a named manager, often a different YO district from the booking title. A customer toward Acomb, Huntington or Bishopthorpe needs a legal stop. Do not send a Clifton Moor collection to Bootham Bar first. Do not send a Fulford job to YO1 because both sit under a York invoice.
The A64 is Leeds one way, Malton and Scarborough the other. The A19 is Selby one way, Thirsk the other. The A59 is Harrogate and the A1. The A1237 is the northern ring. The A1036 is the inner Fulford and Tadcaster road. None of those is a same day promise. A closed A64 at the ring and a race day on the Knavesmire are city facts. Neighbouring places: Acomb, Fulford, Huntington, Poppleton, Selby, Harrogate. Collection at Clifton Moor and delivery in Acomb is one job. Collection in York and delivery in Glasgow is nationwide. If the postcode is YO8, that is Selby, which already has its own page. If it is HG4 toward Ripon, that already has its own page.
York station, not heritage
York station is the main line stop, just outside the walls. Poppleton is a different last mile toward the north-west. Live copy listed Erskine Halt and Murton Park. Those are heritage pins, not National Rail. We plan which real stop a driver needs after a one way delivery.
What an Ouse dealer is actually booking
A York independent moving a car to a Leeds or Hull group roof. A part exchange going to BCA Leeds once it is legal. A customer on Bootham who was promised a driver. A fleet van from Clifton Moor. A single unit that cannot wait for a truck filling a deck inside the walls. An Acomb collection written as YO1. A Selby collection written as York, which already has its own page.
Site transfer versus customer door: site transfers and retail handovers. Named contacts. A locked unit toward Monks Cross and a gated house toward the walls are not the same product, even though both use plates. Bars are why plates fit. They are not a paperwork holiday.
Acomb is not York
A64 queues at the ring, a race-day closure on the Knavesmire and a Fulford collection written as YO1 are the usual failures. If the car is at BCA Leeds, they should not be sent to Bootham Bar first. If it is a house toward Acomb, they should not be sent to Clifton Moor. Put the YO district, the barrier code and the person on the quote. Do not copy a Leeds am onto a YO1 booking.
Photographs still happen on a Clifton Moor to Acomb hop. Walled miles are not a paperwork holiday. Leeds will not hold a car because Micklegate was closed.

Which York postcodes do you cover?
Every district in and around York, including YO1, YO32 and YO61. If yours is not on that list it is almost certainly still covered, because we work right across the Yorkshire and the Humber.
Do you cover the areas around York?
Yes. A driver working York also covers Haxby, Tadcaster, Easingwold, Selby and Wetherby. Collection and delivery can be at either end of the same job.
How quickly can you get a driver to York?
It depends on where the driver is finishing their previous job. York is served by Erskine Halt, Murton Park and Poppleton, which is how our drivers travel in for a collection or get home after a one-way delivery. Decent rail access usually means a quicker turnaround.
