Trade Plate Vehicle Movements in Norwich

Norwich sits on the Wensum, NR1 in the centre and a ring of NR postcodes that are not one last mile, with the A47 as the southern bypass, the A11 as the London road and no motorway into the city. From the Glasgow office the run is M74, A1(M), A14, then A11. OVM quotes one driven movement. There is no Norwich office. A cathedral city at the end of the A11 is still a nationwide postcode, not a Norfolk depot.

The motor trade reason is a city whose independents still have to move stock toward London, Peterborough and the rest of the country without waiting for a truck to fill a deck on a single A47. Auction purchases are not in the Lanes. The honest names on the live sitemap are BCA Chelmsford and Manheim Frating. BCA Bedford sits west if that is where you bought. Fleet vans come off Sweet Briar, Broadland Business Park and the NR7 units and still need a valid MOT. A retail handover on a terrace off Unthank Road is a person at a door, not a trailer on Tombland.

Norwich is not Sprowston. Sprowston already has its own page. Wymondham, a yard toward Sweet Briar and a customer toward Eaton are different last miles. A booking that says Norwich and is actually in Sprowston, or actually in Costessey, needs the place. Dereham and Thetford already have their own pages.

A47, the A11 and the Lanes are not a lorry bay

There is no motorway into Norwich. That live line was true. The A11 is how a nationwide job actually reaches the city from London and Thetford. The A47 is the Great Yarmouth and King's Lynn road, now the southern bypass for through traffic. The A140 is the Ipswich road. The A146 is the Lowestoft road. None of those is a same day promise. A closed A47 at the Thickthorn and a match at Carrow Road are Norfolk facts.

London Street, Unthank Road and the Lanes around the market are tight. A compound toward Sweet Briar, Broadland Business Park or the airport industrial land is a barrier instruction. A customer toward Eaton or toward Mile Cross needs a place to stop that is legal. Do not send a Sweet Briar collection to Tombland first.

Neighbouring places: Sprowston, Wymondham, Costessey, Thorpe St Andrew, Dereham, Thetford. Collection at Sweet Briar and delivery in Eaton is one job. Collection in Norwich and delivery in Glasgow is nationwide. If the postcode is NR7 toward Sprowston, that is a different page.

Norwich station is the real return after a one-way, a terminus. We do not invent extra stops because a generated list looked busy. Wymondham is a different town on the same line. We plan which one a driver actually needs.

No Norwich auction. Chelmsford is the nearest BCA

There is no BCA, Manheim or Wilsons yard in Norwich on the live sitemap. BCA Chelmsford is the honest nearest BCA. Manheim Frating is the honest Essex Manheim. BCA Bedford sits if that is where you bought. We will not paste East Anglian Motor Auctions Wymondham onto this page.

Release is confirmed with Chelmsford, or Frating, or whichever site you name, before a driver is sent up the A11. The A47 does not open a Chelmsford gate. Auction collection after release. Salvage off plates.

Sprowston sits on trade plate vehicle movements in Sprowston. Dereham and Thetford already have their own pages in this set.

What a Norfolk dealer is actually booking

A Norwich independent moving a car to a London or Peterborough group roof. A part exchange going to Chelmsford once it is legal. A customer on Unthank Road who was promised a driver. A fleet van from Sweet Briar. A single unit that cannot wait for a truck filling a deck on the A11. A Sprowston collection written as Norwich, which already has its own page.

Site transfer versus customer door: site transfers and retail handovers. Named contacts. A locked unit toward the airport land and a gated house toward Eaton are not the same product, even though both use plates. Distance from a BCA yard is not a reason to skip the digital proof.

Sprowston is not Norwich

A47 closures at Thickthorn, an A11 delay out of Thetford and a Sprowston collection written as Norwich are the usual failures. If the car is at BCA Chelmsford, they should not be sent to the Lanes first. If it is a house toward Eaton, they should not be sent to Sweet Briar. Ask for a date you can keep. Put the district, the barrier code and the person on the quote. Do not copy a Chelmsford am onto an NR1 booking.

Photographs still happen on a Costessey to Norwich hop. Norfolk miles are not a paperwork holiday. Chelmsford will not hold a car because Tombland was closed.

0141 459 1302
Which Norwich postcodes do you cover?

Every district in and around Norwich, including NR2, NR7, NR11, NR14 and NR18. If yours is not on that list it is almost certainly still covered, because we work right across Norfolk.

Do you cover the areas around Norwich?

Yes. A driver working Norwich also covers Sprowston, Wymondham, Loddon, Aylsham and Reepham. Collection and delivery can be at either end of the same job.

How quickly can you get a driver to Norwich?

It depends on where the driver is finishing their previous job. Norwich has its own station, so we can usually get someone in without tying up a second vehicle, which keeps the turnaround short.
