Trade Plate Vehicle Movements in Cambridge
Cambridge sits on the Cam, CB1 in the city and a ring of CB postcodes that are not college courtyards, with the M11 along the west, the A14 along the north and the A10 as the old London road. From the Glasgow office the run is M74, A1(M), then A14 or M11. OVM quotes one driven movement. There is no Cambridge office. Science parks and a medieval core are still nationwide postcodes, not a second London page.

The motor trade reason is a city whose independents and group satellites still have to move stock toward London, Peterborough and the rest of the country without waiting for a truck to fill a deck on a single river crossing. Auction purchases are not in the city. The honest names on the live sitemap are BCA Bedford and BCA Chelmsford. Manheim Frating sits east if that is where you bought. Fleet vans come off Stonecroft, Coldhams Lane and Milton units and still need a valid MOT. A retail handover on a terrace off Mill Road is a person at a door, not a trailer on King's Parade.
Cambridge is not Ely and it is not Huntingdon. Chesterton, Trumpington, a yard toward the science park and a customer toward Cherry Hinton are different last miles. A booking that says Cambridge and is actually in Histon, or actually in Waterbeach, needs the village. CB4 and CB2 are not interchangeable.
Public brand OVM. Legal name OVM Ltd, SC834621, if you need Companies House.
M11, the A14 and two stations
Junction 13 of the M11 and the A14 Milton interchange are how a nationwide job actually reaches the city. The A10 is the Royston and Ely road. The A1307 is the Haverhill road. The A1303 is Madingley. None of those is a same day promise. A closed A14 at Fen Ditton and a graduation week in the centre are Fen facts.
Regent Street, Mill Road and the streets around the market are tight. A compound toward Milton, Coldhams Lane or the science park is a barrier instruction. A customer toward Romsey or toward Newnham needs a place to stop that is legal. Do not send a Milton collection to King's Parade first.
Neighbouring places: Histon, Milton, Waterbeach, Trumpington, Ely, Huntingdon. Collection on the science park and delivery in Cherry Hinton is one job. Collection in Cambridge and delivery in Glasgow is nationwide. Haverhill already has its own page if that is actually the other postcode.
Cambridge station is the main line stop south of the core. Cambridge North is a different stop, useful when the delivery is Chesterton or the science park rather than the city centre. We plan which one a driver needs after a one way delivery. We do not mix them because both say Cambridge.
No Cambridge auction on the sitemap
There is no BCA, Manheim or Wilsons yard in Cambridge on the live sitemap. BCA Bedford is the honest nearest BCA west. BCA Chelmsford is the Essex BCA. Manheim Frating is the honest Essex Manheim. We will not invent a Cambridge auction.
Release is confirmed with Bedford, or Chelmsford, or whichever site you name, before a driver is sent. The A14 does not open a Bedford gate. auction collection after release. Salvage off plates.
What a Fen dealer is actually booking
A Cambridge independent moving a car to a London or Peterborough group roof. A part exchange going to Bedford once it is legal. A customer in Romsey who was promised a driver. A fleet van from the science park. A single unit that cannot wait for a truck filling a deck on the A14. A Histon collection written as Cambridge, which is a different village.
Site transfer versus customer door: site transfers and retail handovers. Named contacts. A locked unit toward Milton and a gated house toward Newnham are not the same product, even though both use plates.
Fen Ditton, the river and a Histon mix-up
A14 closures at Fen Ditton, a closed river crossing and a Waterbeach collection written as Cambridge are the usual failures. If the car is at BCA Bedford, they should not be sent to Mill Road first. If it is a house toward Cherry Hinton, they should not be sent to the science park. Ask for a date you can keep. Put the estate name, the barrier code and the person on the quote. Do not copy a London 'am' onto a CB1 booking.
Photographs still happen on a Histon to Cambridge hop. Fen miles are not a paperwork holiday. Bedford will not hold a car because Regent Street was parked out.
