Winchester is not Eastleigh and it is not Southampton. A booking that says Winchester and is actually in Weeke, or actually in Kings Worthy, needs the place. SO22 and SO23 are not interchangeable.

The High Street, Jewry Street and the streets around the Close are tight. A compound toward Winnall or Bar End is a barrier and a named manager. A customer toward Weeke, Harestock or Badger Farm needs a legal stop. Do not send a Winnall collection to the Close first. Do not send a Shawford job to SO23 because both sit on the same Itchen.

Junctions 9 to 11 of the M3 are how a nationwide job actually reaches the city. Junction 9 is the A34 split toward Newbury. Junction 10 is Bar End and the centre. Junction 11 is St Cross and the south. The A31 is Alton and the east. The A33 is Basingstoke one way, Southampton the other. The A272 is the west. None of those is a same day promise.
