Getting around Canterbury: the A2, the A28 and the Ring Road

The A2 is the main artery, running towards London one way and Dover the other, and our drivers join it from the M2 near Faversham. The A28 links Ashford with the coast and the A257 heads out to Sandwich. A closed Ring Road or a busy pilgrims' weekend inside the walls can hold things up, so we agree a sensible collection time rather than promising a same day slot.

Burgate, St Peter's Street and the lanes inside the city walls are tight, while units at Wincheap, Hersden and Broad Oak usually have barriers. Hales Place, St Stephen's, St Dunstan's and Barton each have a different last stretch, and Whitstable, Herne Bay and Chartham are separate places. An exact postcode sends the driver straight to the right door.

Collecting at Wincheap and delivering in CT1 is one job, and so is a long run to Glasgow. Sturry, Faversham and Ashford are close neighbours, and Ashford has its own page.
