Stirling is a short run up the M80 from our office at 48 West George Street in Glasgow, and the M9 and A9 put Edinburgh and Perth within easy reach too. Every job is quoted as one driven movement, and if trade plates are not the right fit for your vehicle we will tell you and suggest a transporter instead.
Auction collections from BCA Glasgow, Newbridge, Livingston and Shotts
There is no auction compound in Stirling, so local buyers usually collect from BCA Glasgow or Central Car Auctions Glasgow down the M80. To the east, BCA Livingston and BCA Newbridge cover the Edinburgh side, and Manheim Shotts sits between the two cities. You can collect from BCA Glasgow after release and have the car driven straight back to your forecourt.
We confirm the release with whichever site you name before a driver sets off, so there is no wasted trip to a gate that will not open. Our guide to collecting auction lots after release explains the steps. Anything sold as salvage needs a transporter instead.
Cumbernauld is a separate town on the M80 with its own roads. For nearby moves see our pages on vehicle movements in Perth, vehicle movements in Livingston and vehicle movements in Glasgow.
Reaching Stirling at Pirnhall and junction 9 of the M9
Most drives arrive at junction 9 of the M9 or junction 9 of the M80 at Pirnhall. From there the A9 runs north to Perth and Inverness, the A84 heads out to Callander and the Trossachs, the A91 goes to Alloa and the A811 takes the Drymen road. A closed M9 or a match at Forthbank can slow things down, so we agree timings with you rather than promise a same day run.
Bridge of Allan, Bannockburn, Dunblane, Alloa and Falkirk are all close by, and Causewayhead and St Ninians each have their own last stretch. FK9 is not FK8, so give us the exact postcode and the driver goes straight to the right door.
Short hops count as much as long runs. Collecting at Springkerse and delivering in Causewayhead is one job, and so is collecting in Stirling and delivering to England. After a one way delivery our driver heads home from Stirling station on the Glasgow and Highland lines, or from Bridge of Allan if the drop was in FK9.
Dealer transfers, part exchanges and fleet vans in Stirling
A typical Stirling booking is an independent sending a car to a group site in Glasgow or Perth, or a part exchange going to BCA Glasgow once it is legal to drive. Fleet vans come off Springkerse, Castle Business Park and the FK7 estates, and each one needs a valid MOT.
Promised a customer in St Ninians a delivery to their door? Our driver arrives in the car itself, which is far easier on the narrow streets below the castle than a trailer. There is more about handing cars over to retail customers on our dealer page.
We move one vehicle at a time, so your car never sits waiting for a transporter to fill its deck before it leaves the city.
Collections under the castle and out at Springkerse
Port Street, King Street and the roads beneath the castle are tight, so a pickup in the old town needs a place where our driver can stop legally. Homes in Causewayhead, Raploch or Torbrex are usually simpler. A compound at Springkerse tends to have a barrier and a site manager, so please add the gate code and a named contact when you book.
Whether the run is a short hop from Bannockburn to Causewayhead or a long drive south, the record is the same: condition and photos at collection, a signature on delivery and one report sent to you by email.
Booking an FK postcode movement with OVM
The vehicle must be roadworthy and legal to drive, with a valid MOT where one is required. We bring the trade plates, and our motor trade road risk insurance covers it from collection until it is signed for. If you are new to plates, start with what a driven trade plate movement is, then see how OVM covers the UK from Glasgow.

Common questions
If your question is not here, call the Glasgow office and we will answer it on the spot.
0141 459 1302Which Stirling postcodes do you cover?
Every district in and around Stirling, including FK1, FK3, FK8, FK9, FK10, FK12, FK13 and FK14. If yours is not on that list it is almost certainly still covered, because we work right across Scotland.
Do you cover the areas around Stirling?
Yes. A driver working Stirling also covers Bridge of Allan, Alloa, Alva, Doune and Clackmannan. Collection and delivery can be at either end of the same job.
How quickly can you get a driver to Stirling?
It depends on where the driver is finishing their previous job. Stirling is served by Bridge of Allan and Stirling, which is how our drivers travel in for a collection or get home after a one-way delivery. Decent rail access usually means a quicker turnaround.
