Trade Plate Vehicle Movements in Inverness
Inverness sits at the head of the Great Glen. IV1 in the centre. IV2 and IV3 across the rest. The A9 is the spine. The Kessock Bridge is the Black Isle crossing. From the Glasgow office this is M80 or the A9 all the way. OVM quotes one driven movement. There is no Inverness office. Distance is not a second depot. Build the A9 into the date.

0141 459 1302Live copy said there is no motorway into Inverness. That line was true. It is not a product. A nationwide job into IV1 spends hours on the A9. We book a date you can keep. Do not copy a Glasgow am onto a Highland booking.

No Inverness auction. The yards sit in the central belt
Live unique copy named no compound at all. The FAQ then treated IV10 and IV15 as Inverness postcodes. Fortrose is IV10. Dingwall is IV15. Live also said a driver working Inverness covers Fortrose, Dingwall, Alness, Cromarty and Tain. Those are different towns. This page is Inverness.
There is no BCA, Manheim or Wilsons yard in Inverness on the live sitemap. BCA Glasgow and Central Car Auctions Glasgow are the west options. BCA Newbridge and BCA Livingston are the Lothian BCAs. Manheim Shotts is the Lanarkshire Manheim. We will not invent an Inverness auction.
Release is confirmed with Glasgow, Newbridge or whichever site you name before a driver is sent. The A9 does not open a Newbridge gate. auction collection after release. Salvage off plates.
The Glasgow hub remains trade plate vehicle movements in Glasgow. Aberdeen: trade plate vehicle movements in Aberdeen. Westhill already has its own page if the other postcode is actually Aberdeenshire.
Longman is not Academy Street
Independents in Inverness, Culloden and along the river still have to move stock towards Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow without waiting for a truck to fill a deck on a single trunk road. Fleet vans come off Longman, Inverness Retail Park and Carse. They still need a valid MOT. A retail handover on a terrace off Academy Street is a person at a door, not a trailer on the Ness.
Inverness is not Elgin and it is not Nairn. Longman, a yard towards the retail park and a customer towards Culloden are different last miles. A booking that says Inverness and is actually in Dingwall, or actually in Fort Augustus, needs the place.
Academy Street, Church Street and the streets around the castle are tight. A compound towards Longman is a barrier and a named manager. A customer towards Dalneigh needs a legal stop. Do not send a Longman collection to the river first. Kessock weather is a Highland fact.
The A96 is the Aberdeen road. The A82 is the Fort William road along the Ness. The A835 heads towards Ullapool. Neighbouring places: Culloden, Nairn, Dingwall, Beauly, Fort Augustus, Elgin. Collection at Longman and delivery in Culloden is one job. Collection in Inverness and delivery in Glasgow is nationwide.
Inverness station is the terminus
Inverness station is the highland terminus. That is genuine rail for a driver after a one way delivery. It is often the honest way home after an A9 job. Beauly and Nairn are different stops. Live copy treated Inverness as if one station solved the whole Highland. We plan which stop is actually useful. We do not invent a slot because three names sit on the map.
What a Highland dealer is actually booking
An Inverness independent moving a car to an Aberdeen or Glasgow group roof. A part exchange going to Newbridge once it is legal. A customer in Culloden who was promised a driver. A fleet van from Longman. A single unit that cannot wait for a truck filling a deck on the A9. A Dingwall collection written as Inverness. An Elgin collection with an IV1 title and no street.
Site transfer versus customer door: site transfers and retail handovers. Named contacts. A locked unit towards Carse and a gated house towards the river are not the same product, even though both use plates.
Dingwall is not Inverness
A9 closures, Kessock weather and an Elgin collection written as Inverness are the usual failures. If the car is at BCA Newbridge, the run is the length of the country and release still has to be in. If it is a house towards Dalneigh, they should not be sent to Longman first. Put the estate name, the barrier code and the person on the quote. Highland miles are not a copied central belt diary.
Photographs still happen on a Culloden to Inverness hop. Highland miles are not a paperwork holiday. Newbridge will not hold a car because the A9 was slow.
The A9 does not replace an MOT
Trade plates are ours. The MOT is still yours to have on the vehicle. Truck if not.
Condition recorded before the engine is used as transport. Signature at the far end. One file.

Common questions
Anything not covered here, the Glasgow office will answer on the phone.
0141 459 1302Which Inverness postcodes do you cover?
Every district in and around Inverness, including IV1, IV10 and IV15. If yours is not on that list it is almost certainly still covered, because we work right across the Highland.
Do you cover the areas around Inverness?
Yes. A driver working Inverness also covers Fortrose, Dingwall, Alness, Cromarty and Tain. Collection and delivery can be at either end of the same job.
How quickly can you get a driver to Inverness?
It depends on where the driver is finishing their previous job. Inverness has its own station, so we can usually get someone in without tying up a second vehicle, which keeps the turnaround short.
