This is a long south west run for our drivers: the M74, M6 and M5, then the A380 into Torbay and the A3022 into town. The A3022 is the one main road in, passing Windy Corner and Broadsands on the way to Bolton Cross.

Brixham's streets ask for local knowledge. Furzeham drops steeply to King Street, St Mary's Hill and Rea Barn Road are long climbs and Fore Street and Middle Street are narrow. The inner harbour, Higher Brixham and Churston each have their own approach, so a door above the quay needs someone waiting and a spot that is not a fish lorry's bay.

Paignton, Churston Ferrers, Galmpton, Kingswear and Torquay are all close by, with Dartmouth across the Dart. A short move from Paignton over to Brixham gets the same care as a car leaving TQ5 for the other end of the country.

Torbay often gets treated as one place on bookings, but Brixham, Paignton and Torquay are separate towns with separate last stretches. Galmpton and Churston Ferrers sit on the Brixham side of the bay and still need their own street names.

If the car is in Higher Brixham, or at a yard on New Road or the Laywell units, tell us so the driver goes straight there rather than to the breakwater. If someone has written Dartmouth, that means Kingswear and the ferry, so please flag it before we plan the route.

Brixham has no station of its own. Our driver heads home from Paignton on the Riviera Line, and we allow for the extra road hop to get there.
