Trade plate vehicle movements in Morriston, Swansea

Junction 45, the A4067 and the Tawe valley

Our drivers reach Morriston at junction 45 of the M4. The A4067 follows the Tawe south into Swansea and north to Pontardawe and Ystradgynlais, while the A48 runs through Llansamlet. When the M4 closes between junctions 44 and 46, traffic pours through the suburb, so we agree a sensible collection time rather than promising a same day slot.

Woodfield Street and the roads around the plaza are tight. On Swansea Enterprise Park a unit can carry an SA6 or SA7 postcode depending on which side of the river it sits, so please give us the unit number and a named contact. A house in Clase, Plasmarl or Cwmrhydyceirw needs its own exact address.

Morriston has no railway station, so after a one way delivery our driver heads for Llansamlet on the South Wales Main Line or Swansea station. We build that into the plan.

Moving cars between Morriston, Clydach and Swansea

Local hops are as welcome as long runs. Collecting in Llansamlet and delivering to Morriston is one job, and so is collecting in Morriston and delivering to Glasgow. Clydach, Landore, Skewen and Pontardawe are all close neighbours.

If the car is really in Clydach or up the valley in Pontardawe, put that on the booking rather than Morriston. It saves the driver a wasted trip to the wrong side of the river.

Auction collections from Wilsons Auctions Newport, BCA Bristol and Manheim Dursley

There is no auction site in Swansea, so most Morriston buyers collect from Wilsons Auctions Newport, a straight run east along the M4. Across the Severn, we also collect from BCA Bristol and Manheim Dursley in Gloucestershire.

We confirm with the auction that your lot has been released before a driver is sent, then bring it straight back to your forecourt. Here is how auction collection works from release to delivery. A salvage vehicle cannot be driven on our plates and will need a transporter.

Dealer moves and Enterprise Park fleet vans in north Swansea

A typical Morriston booking is a Swansea independent sending a car to a city site or a Cardiff group, or a part exchange going to Wilsons Newport once it is legal to drive. Fleet vans come off Swansea Enterprise Park and units around Clase, and each one needs a valid MOT before we can take it.

If you have promised a customer in Cwmrhydyceirw a delivery to their door, our driver arrives in the car itself, with no trailer squeezing up a valley street. Learn more about site transfers and retail handovers.

Booking an SA6 movement with OVM

Anything we move must be safe and legal to drive, with an in date MOT where one is needed. Plates and motor trade road risk insurance come from us, covering the vehicle from collection until it is signed for. Condition is recorded before the car moves, the receiver signs at the far end and you get both proofs in one file. Our trade plate movement guide and coverage page have the rest.

Pop in the registration, both postcodes and your dates to see an instant quote. An account only changes how you are invoiced, so you can book straight away or call 0141 459 1302.
