We confirm height and gross weight against the route and the delivery point before dispatch, because a low bridge, a height barrier or a tight yard turns a straightforward job into a wasted journey. ### Racking, ply-lining and loads Internal racking and ply-lining are photographed as part of the condition record. Loose equipment in the load area is noted before we set off. Damage inside a van is as contentious as damage to the paintwork and far harder to argue about afterwards. ### Plating and roadworthiness The van needs a valid MOT. It has to be drivable and legal for the road. Where a vehicle is plated or has an MOT falling due, we flag it before collection rather than at the gate.
