A movement price is the easy number. The expensive number is the car that does not move.

Auction storage keeps running until the lot leaves. That bill is the auction's, not ours. It does not pause while you wait for a truck to fill. A sold unit still at the satellite is a retail date you already promised. A courtesy car at the wrong branch is a service customer in a taxi. Group stock with no condition record is an argument about a bumper nobody can close.

## What you are buying when you accept a figure

A driver to that collection address. A condition record before the engine is used as transport. The drive. A handover that someone signs. Digital proof when the job closes.

You are not buying a slot on a deck. You are not buying a wait until four other units make the run economic. If that is what the job needs, a transporter is the right tool and we will say so. ## Why a per-mile guess fails dealers

A neighbouring-town stock swap and a retail handover at a customer's door can share a corridor and take a different amount of a driver's day. Auction gates take time even when the wheels are not turning. A van is not a car on the same miles. An EV needs charge planned into the route.

That is why we will not publish a chart. A chart would be wrong on the job you actually have.

What to send so the figure matches the afternoon:

## Fuel, extras and what will not appear later

Fuel is charged separately. The movement price is the driven job. The figure you accept is the figure on the invoice, unless the vehicle on site is not the job we quoted.

If the driver arrives and it is not as described, they stop. We do not pad a surprise on completion. We also do not absorb a second registration you hid in the notes.

If a date carries a premium, it is in the quote you see before you commit.

## Scotland to England is still one quote

 Why will you not put a from-price on this post?

Because two jobs over the same distance are not the same job. A from-price is how dealers get a shock when the collection is an auction gate or the delivery is a customer who was promised a walkaround. Send the registration.

 Is a driven movement always cheaper than a truck?

For one roadworthy car, usually, because you are not buying a deck slot. For several units the same way on a flexible date, a transporter often wins per vehicle. We will say which the job actually suits. We will not book the truck.

 Does auction storage change what I should pay you?

Storage is the compound's bill. It still changes the decision. A cheaper truck next week is not cheaper if the lot sits while charges run. Release first, then compare the movement to the clock.  Why is fuel separate?

Because fuel follows the vehicle and the route, not a rounded movement figure. It is stated as a separate charge so the driven job and the fuel are not mixed into a number you cannot read.

 Can I get one price for a list of stock?

You can send a list. Each registration is still priced as its own driven job. We will not average a van, a car and a customer handover into one made-up line.
