# Auction collection checklist after the hammer

## Before you bid

- ☐ Lot is actually drivable (not starts on video only)
- ☐ Valid MOT (checked on the registration, not assumed from the catalogue)
- ☐ Keys present, or missing keys flagged
- ☐ I know how this site releases (account / cleared funds / title check)
- ☐ I know who pays storage after the hammer. I know when their free period ends
- ☐ If it is salvage, no MOT, or a non-runner: this is a transporter job, not OVM

## After you buy (do not dispatch until every box is ticked)

- ☐ Auction paid (OVM is not the cashier)
- ☐ Release code / buyer reference in hand
- ☐ OVM office has confirmed that code with the compound
- ☐ Collector named as OVM, if the site requires a named collector

## Storage-charge race

- ☐ If the lot cannot be driven out, I am booking a transporter, not a driver

Storage does not pause for paperwork, a full deck, or a wasted journey.

## Stop. Do not send a trade plate driver if

- ☐ No valid MOT
- ☐ Non-runner / will not steer / brakes you would not trust
- ☐ Salvage, category write-off, unfinished repair
- ☐ Compound will not release for a driven exit
- ☐ Height or weight a driver cannot take
- ☐ Northern Ireland (OVM does not cover it)

OVM will say so rather than take the booking.
